Here is a rare Belgian movie poster from the first re-release of George B. Seitz's
1936 film set during the French And Indian War,
The Last Of The Mohicans
. Based on the 1826 novel by James Fenimore Cooper, this film starred Randolph Scott as Hawkeye, a colonial scout who is tasked with safely transporting the two daughters of a Colonel through dangerous territory. This poster is from the first rerelease of the film in Belgium either in the late Forties or early Fifties. It is mounted on paper (card stock) and is in very good condition. The striking artwork is unique to this Belgian release poster. It seldom comes up for sale or auction.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14" x 19.5; 15.5" x 20.75" (on paper)
CONDITION:
Very Good Trimmed Condition On Paper. Prior to being mounted on paper, this poster was in very good partially trimmed and folded condition with slight yellowing to the paper. There are a few pinholes in the corners of the paper. Artwork completely intact. This poster has been stored flat for the past 20 years and will be shipped rolled in a 4 inch sturdy tube.
